Illus. from photographs, incl. frontis. port. of Sylvia. Pictorial red boards. First Edition. NY: MacFadden Book Co., 1935.
A book of weight control, including diets and exercise for reducing and firming breasts, people who sit all day, localized fat, etc.
Sylvia is very direct and commanding, as here on "Luncheon Warnings!": "Don't follow that pernicious habit of a sandwich and soda for luncheon. It will simply ruin your looks, health and disposition. Choose the luncheon for your type. And see that you get it! I know a lot of you are sometimes forced to eat at drugstore counters. That doesn't make any difference. You can get the general type of food I tell you to eat, if you ask for it. You order it! You pay for it! Ask for your fresh fruit salad without mayonnaise or sugar; your coffee black, or whatever you should have. Don't take anything that is put before you. You have to be hard about these things. Or you'll never get anywhere. Don't loll over your food. Don't loll anywhere. Fresh air and a walk are what you need."
Rubbing to extremities, else very good.
